Woodstock to Host Robotics Challenge Today
Students from Oxford, Norfolk, St. Thomas-Elgin, and London-Middlesex will be taking part.
WOODSTOCK - Local students will go head to head today in the Oxford Invitational Youth Robotics Challenge.
Over 75 students plus their coaches will pack Goff Gym from 2:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
They have all been tasked with building their own autonomous farm robot, similar to what you would see in some fields today. Each team has received a Lego Spike Prime Kit to get the job done and they also have to submit a report and a video outlining what they have learned throughout the process.

WOODSTOCK - The 17th annual Oxford Invitational Youth Robotics Challenge is back in Woodstock.
Today, high school students will come to Goff Gymnasium at Reeves Community Complex to show a panel of judges a robot they have been working on for the past couple of months. The challenge this year was for the teams to build a part-supplying robot and complete the task of simulating the delivery of a part across an industrial facility.

16 local high schools, one big robotics competition
Teams from 16 area high schools competed Thursday in the Oxford Invitational Youth Robotics Challenge in Woodstock. Each team was displaying devices they built from Lego Technic kits that sorted balls by colour and distributed them into bins. Teams received extra points if the balls were thrown through a small window.
